We often hear about the health benefits of drinking green tea, but don’t let it overshadow the benefit of black tea. In some cases, like retaining flavour, black tea is even better than the famous green tea. Black tea can make your bumpy belly a flat one.

Now let’s figure out why it is so good for our health.

One of main elements of black tea is polyphenols. These elements are comparatively big in size to be absorbed by our intestine. It helps the growth of gut bacterium and it in turns improves energy metabolism in the liver.

A study showed that the presence of those polyphenols in black tea is the main reason behind its health benefits.

Followings are the health benefits you can get by just drinking a cup of black tea: -

Black tea burns the fat in your belly and helps you to stay fit without even going to gym.

Black tea improves the metabolism rate so that you can eat and digest your food properly.

Black tea controls the sugar level in your blood.

It can decrease the Cholesterol levels and prevent the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

According to the University of California - Los Angeles Health Sciences researchers, a study on mice proved that black tea helps us to stay healthy and fit.

In the study, four groups of mice received different diets based on the intake of black tea. After four weeks, the mice that were given black tea showed a drop in their weights. Interestingly they found a difference in the size of large intestines between the mice.

The mice that consumed black tea seemed to produce Pseudobutyrivibrio, a bacteria, which scientifically has been proven as an important element for weight loss.

This research was published in The European Journal of Nutrition.

Include black tea in your beverage list to get all the health benefits it offers. Daily intake of 1-2 cups per day can improve your health significantly. But be careful, excessive intake of black tea can help in formation of ulcers.
